Position Overview:Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee the construction of a new bus garage facility. This role will be fully onsite, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders, contractors, and team members to drive the project toward successful completion.
Compensation:Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from
$90,000 to $100,000,
commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Serve as a managerial and supervisory leader, supporting all phases of the construction process. Lead and mentor the project team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for a culturally diverse staff.Contract & Compliance Oversight:
Manage all aspects of the construction contract, ensuring compliance with project specifications and high standards of execution.Project Delivery:
Monitor field operations closely to keep the project on schedule and within budget, addressing any challenges as they arise.Stakeholder Coordination:
Work 100% onsite, collaborating directly with stakeholders and contractors to ensure clear communication and smooth project progression.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, business, or a related field (preferred).Experience:
At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, with specific experience in bus or rail maintenance facilities.Contract Knowledge:
Strong background in design-build contracts; experience with Progressive Design-Build (PDB) and Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) contracts is preferred.Project Management Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and schedules, ensuring successful project delivery.Government Project Experience:
Knowledge of working in a government environment is essential.Background Check:
Must be able to pass a government background check.Travel:
Willingness to travel out-of-state for manufacturer inspections and to witness factory acceptance testing as necessary.Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
