As a member of Viasat's fast-paced Test Engineering Team, you will work with the test team to work closely with the product design team to interpret module requirements and turn them into corresponding Qualification and Certification Test Scripts.The day-to-day
Day to day effort includes reading and reviewing top level requirements to ensure they are concise, testable, and realistic.Generating automated test procedures to demonstrate compliance to these requirements.Using python to automate both the execution of tests as well as the test procedure and test report documentation.Collaboration with product design engineers (HW, SW, FPGA Logic, & Systems).Flexible and open environment that encourages you to craft and run your own test scripts and test ideas.What you'll need
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related subject area3+ years experience with networking (TCP, UDP, Multicast, etc.) and network devices.Proof of United States CitizenshipAbility to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.What will help you on the job
Knowledge and experience with a programming or scripting language preferably Python or other Object Oriented language. (i.e. C/C++, Python, Perl, or other)Familiarity with Linux / Ubuntu operating systemsExcellent communication skillsIntellectual curiosity and test mindsetDesire to grow and ability to quickly learn#LI-GS1Salary range
$116,500.00 - $171,600.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $144,600.00- $202,500.00/ annually
