The Role

This Director of Supply Chain Procurement leads the Compliance and Operations function within Supply Chain Management. The Director will be responsible for executing DFAR compliant Purchase Orders and also maintain approved and SOX compliant SCM related business systems (Contractor Purchasing System, Property Management System, Material Management & Accounting System, and Supplier Compliance). Direct the successful coordination/management of SCM Business System audits conducted by SUPSHIPNN and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Additional responsibilities include executing the placement and delivery for all indirect materials/services and direct services across all NNS Programs and HII when required. This position will manage the procurement of various material, complex division wide IT, service contracts and facility capital investment purchase orders; this includes preparing for negotiations, obtaining favorable cost positions as a result of the negotiations, and managing the material thru on-time delivery to Newport News Shipbuilding. In support of procurement and contract proposals, direct the completions of price analysis, BOEs, negotiations, and cost auditing services. This position will direct the implementation of a compliant Small Business program across all buying offices and support the timely development of small business plans needed for NNS contract proposals. Position directs the on-boarding, account maintenance, and due diligence of NNS suppliers in the procurement system. Direct the implementation of the Supply Chain Cybersecurity Compliance Risk Mitigation program to enable compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012 and future CMMC requirements. Director will also have lead on ESG Sustainability in the area of supply chain management and SCM related Compliance CAM core elements. This position also has oversite of division Operations, Net Center Suite, and Administrative support for SCM.

Must Have

Bachelors degree plus 10 years of applicable progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience OR Master's degree and 8 years relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, supplier quality, compliance, manufacturing operations, engineering requirements, planning processes, and quality practices. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing or interacting with NNS suppliers.
