System Engineer

We are seeking an Systems Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer for a client located in Los Angeles, CA (91367). Systems Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and improving their infrastructure environment both on-prem and in the cloud. Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with their managed service provider, seeking someone with advanced cloud knowledge is essential to keeping us on the cutting edge.

Position: Systems Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer (heavy Azure)

Worksite Address: Los Angeles, CA (91367)

Remote/Onsite: Onsite 3xs a week

Pay Rate: $65/hr. | $135K (CONTRACT ONLY)

Work Hours/Duration: 40 hrs/wk 8-5pm

Start Date: November 2024

Duration: 12+ month Ongoing Contract

Must haves/Environment:

• Extensive experience in on-prem datacenter options and Cloud technology Azure (preferred).
• Extensive experience/knowledge in Automating Infrastructure deployments such as TerraForm and Ansible.
• Experiences with diverse infrastructure solutions such as servers, serverless, VPN, VDI, backup, monitoring, load balancer, SQL platform, Redis, etc.
• Extensive experience with LAN, WLAN, and virtual networking. (CCNA or equivalent a plus).
• Extensive experience with M365, DNS, and mail flow.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze infrastructure solutions and systems, including collaborating with requestors to determine infrastructure resource requirements and specifications
• Deploys and maintains infrastructure solutions such as Servers, Storage, and Network Solutions both on-prem and in the Cloud (Azure preferred). Actively manages infrastructure solutions such as performance, analyzes logs, and troubleshoots issues.
• Assists with identifying bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, or performance degradation
• Manage infrastructure environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Investigate and resolve third-level support requests from end-users by tracing data flows within and/or across systems
• Configuring infrastructure components like networking and security services
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Strong understanding of Terraform and Ansible.
