Adelphi Construction is a subsidiary of IAC. Adelphi Construction provides clients a full range of capital improvement project work, shutdown, turnaround, and plant maintenance services. Our corporate office is located in the Kansas City metropolitan area (in the same building as IAC with a small yard facility in KC MO), strategically positioned and centrally located in the Midwest to service customers across the USA. Position Primary Responsibilities

Industrial Accessories Company (IAC), OEM for Air Pollution Control and Bulk Storage is looking for an experienced Project Manager for large EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) projects. Design experience with Dust Control Equipment (Baghouses, Cyclones, Ductwork, etc.), Bulk Material Handling Equipment and Conveyor Systems is a plus. Good communication skills are required. This person must be able to work with a group, work alone as required, continue learning and adapt to change.

  • Manage multiple projects at one time depending upon size and complexity
  • The Project Manager (PM) is expected to “own” each assigned project and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with internal resources, vendors, and subcontractors to design and procure necessary equipment and materials for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure quality projects are delivered on schedule, within scope and budget
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure all project objectives and deliverables are clearly documented, approved, and delivered to meet clients' needs and expectations
  • Generate RFIs (when appropriate) during project execution and send to the appropriate entity
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings with estimating personnel to discuss department objectives and goals
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedule, and work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Coordinate resource planning, availability, and allocation with other internal departments
  • Coordinate with Construction and Engineering Departments to optimize constructability and critical path schedule of buyout as well as in-house designs and equipment
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Responsible to direct team to resolve project challenges in a timely manner
  • Oversee project financials including budget adherence and cash flow. Manage project estimated budget against project execution plan / forecasted costs
  • Manage changes in scope, schedule, and claims management to maintain project profitability
  • Perform risk & opportunity management

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or construction management
  • Ability to read design drawings, structural drawings, and plan sets
  • Fast-track building construction experience is a plus
  • Experience in heavy industrial construction preferred
  • Experience managing budgets for large construction projects
  • Basic understanding of contracts and entitlements
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • US Citizen and Permanent Resident
  • AutoCAD or Inventor experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Dust Collection Equipment (Baghouses, Cyclones, Ductwork, etc.), Bulk Material Handling Equipment, Dryers, Piping, Conveyor Systems, and Structural Steel is a major plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
  • Required Travel: Willingness to travel to jobsites as required. Travel expectations 10-20%
