Network/Firewall Engineer (local to Fort Worth, TX)

*this is with our Large Municipality client -- Downtown Fort Worth

*Hybrid -- 2 days onsite, 3 days remote

*6 month contract, extensions or FTE

Required Skills:

• 5+ years as a Network Engineer; strong experience working with firewalls
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewall, knowing policies, how to create them,
• F5 Load balancers Specifically with BIG-IP vMPs environments

Day to Day:

• Managing and documenting firewall and load-balancer architecture and configuration.
• Designing, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls and load-balancers with proven experience in troubleshooting isolation and remediation.
• Working with firewalls and load-balancers to optimize deployment and configuration of equipment.
• Configuring load-balancers and firewalls to support new applications that require F5 virtual servers/pools/monitoring and firewall NAT/security policies
• Troubleshooting firewalls and load-balancers using packet analysis, managing support cases with external technology vendors, and performing real-time log analysis.
