About the position:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Product Engineer to join our B2B surveillance business based in Teaneck, NJ. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our product development team to assess, test, and validate new products before they are released to the market. You will have a hands-on approach to ensure that our products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Your responsibilities include:
- Perform complete product evaluations while documenting results via an official acceptance report
- Communicate with the product manager to resolve design issues and recommend enhancements
- Interface with various company departments and sometimes customers and/or vendors to resolve quality problems and provide information as needed
- Develop, document, and maintain functional and regression test cases and other test artifacts
- Test execution on planned test cases, exploratory tests, and ad hoc tests
- Test results tracking across multiple iterations
- Work with 3rd party companies and products that enhance solutions for our customers
- Responsible for Creating and maintaining Product Price Lists and New Products Introduction literature and training material.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field from an accredited university or institution
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, and processes
- Experience in IP networking, TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and network troubleshooting (Wireshark, etc.)
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Virtualization and Containerization
- Experience with Cloud Platforms
- CCTV and Video Management systems experience is a Plus
- Knowledge and understanding of software development, basic coding (Java, HTML, C++, etc.), and/or API/protocol implementation of connected devices
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
