Indirect Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Create a roadmap for project success, understanding all the components of your projects and finding ways to meet project deliverables

• Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering site construction and supporting activities, including planning, procurement, construction, start-up, and prime contract close-out

• Overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring that the project is delivered within contract requirements and standards of quality and safety

• Write detailed and effective bid packages, ensuring seamless delivery of your project and always finding the best value

• Supports selection of partners and suppliers

• Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide

• Deliver projects ahead of schedule, enabling your teams and counterparts to solve problems and prioritize execution by company needs

• Track and understand all project costs at a fundamental level, challenge yourself and cross functional teams to drive costs down, and suggest value engineered proposals with thorough first principles analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants) in a PM role -- on the Indirect side

• Indirect experience -- managing vendors onsite, T&M scopes, manager of small contracts such as onsite restrooms, water supply, maintenance requests, lighting, rental equipment, site services

• Having local knowledge of contract, vendors, and previous relationships

• Managing vendor and suppliers locally, knowing good pricing, local markets.

• Analyzing data, strong in excel and data side of things.

• Experience going through the commercial aspects of scopes (preparing RFPs, scopes of work, bid evaluation, leveling contractor selection, contract management) -- MUST

• Know how to fully manage a project

• Previous experience on $500M+ projects

Location: Corpus Christi

Rate: $60-80/ hour

Duratation: 6-month Contract to hire
