Our law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to manage payroll operations and support HR functions. This role requires experience with the ADP Workforce System and involves handling all aspects of payroll, benefits administration, and compliance tasks. The Payroll Coordinator will be essential in ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing and supporting a smooth onboarding and recruitment experience for new employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing
    Process semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using the ADP Workforce System, ensuring accuracy in calculations for vacation, sick, and personal hours.

  • Special Payments
    Manage and process bonus payments, shareholder draws, severance, and unemployment payments as needed.

  • Benefit Premiums
    Oversee the administration of benefit premiums, ensuring correct deductions and timely updates to employee benefits.

  • Year-End Processes
    Assist in the preparation and distribution of year-end payroll documents, including W-2s, and ensure ACA compliance.

  • HR Support
    Provide support to the Human Resources team, assisting with onboarding, recruitment, and various employee-related matters to enhance employee experience.

  • Compliance
    Stay updated with payroll and benefits regulations, ensuring the firm’s adherence to federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, particularly with ADP Workforce System.
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures, benefit premium management, and compliance requirements (including ACA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment is a plus.
