Principal Backend Engineer

Location: San Francisco (Onsite Monday-Thursday)

We're a fast-growing startup transforming how gamers track and analyze their performance, and we're looking for a skilled Principal Backend Engineer. If you're passionate about backend architecture, high-performance systems, and want to make a major impact, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

• Lead design and architecture of scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend solutions with business goals
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and drive best practices for system design and operations

What We're Looking For:

• 8 years in backend engineering with deep expertise in Rust
• Strong experience with Postgres, Redis, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Elixir, Phoenix, Tokyo/Axum, or RocksDB
• Familiarity with gaming backend systems
