Role & Responsibilities:
- Support client onboarding for all products (air, ocean, imports, exports, customs brokerage).
- Coordinate with operations team to establish SOPs and make them operational through systems, people training and coordination with sales
- Interact with sales team account owners on daily basis, supporting all customer service inquiries direct with customer and indirectly from sales team
- Align client reporting and retention, providing face to customers and penetrating them to get more files/business from them
- Understand AE, AI, SE, SI and warehouse operations
- Perform data entry, document upload and monitoring of customer & 3rd party vendor cloud based portals
- Monitor EDI via FTP folders, trouble shoot and resolve to ensure all data properly aligned with customer reports & MEC operating system
- Knowledgeable on all products and capable to take operations department to the next level in terms of service and teamwork.
- Ensure teamwork within MEC LAX station and other stations in the network.
- Knowledgeable on all clients and files from operations and sales standpoint.
- 3rd party billing for all product support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in forwarding industry, solid knowledge of export/import process of The Americas region.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good planning, problem-solving and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter
- Must be detail-oriented, thorough, accurate and have the ability to efficiently solve problems with strong PC skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Strong Air, ocean and brokerage experience to lead main LAX products. Air imports experience is necessary.
- Knowledge on warehousing product to articulate business
- Freight forwarding experience is desirable. Able to coordinate with team members and align them to be successful from an operational/sales standpoint
- Customer service experience is desirable to deal with clients directly. Able to do quotations, reporting, and reply promptly to requests from clients
