Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Director to join our team and drive the growth of our nicotine pouch products across the United States. This role is critical in developing and executing trade marketing strategies that align with our brand objectives and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), particularly in regulated products, and will be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies to drive distribution, increase market share, and enhance brand presence across the US.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to design, execute, and optimize trade programs that align with sales objectives and customer needs.
  • Manage relationships with key retailers and distributors to ensure effective execution of trade initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and adjust trade strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee the development of promotional materials, point-of-sale displays, and other trade marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate with the product development and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and product positioning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of trade marketing professionals to achieve department goals.
  • Manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes affecting the nicotine and tobacco industries and ensure all trade marketing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales within the CPG industry, with a focus on regulated products.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful trade marketing strategies that drive sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of the US retail environment, particularly in the nicotine, tobacco, or similar regulated categories.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing relationships with key retailers and distributors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support trade marketing activities and meet with key stakeholders.
