Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze, Troubleshoot and Resolve technical issues reported by customers
  • Reviews and interprets customer requirements and specifications and may act as primary customer contact.
  • Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions.
  • Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
  • Solve complex problems
  • Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
  • Analyze and interpret data and information

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Deeply familiar with network switch architectures
  • Deeply familiar with digital and analog circuits, High speed buses, Optical modules, AEC and DAC cables
  • Ability to use test equipment such as, including but not limited to, Oscope, Bus analyzer, Network analyzer, Meters
  • Ability to do basic soldering is required
  • Working knowledge of and Ability to do SI and PI is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of scripting and Linux OS is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of Verilog and ability to program CPLD and FPGA devices is a bonus
