Quality Manager

Quality Manager will be responsible for quality aspect of various lines of business and leading a team of Quality Technicians.
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead company quality initiatives and advance quality culture and performance
- Lead efforts necessary to ensure ISO 9001 and IATF16949 Compliance
- Lead associates engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity
- Lead quality lab staff to ensure quality of incoming raw materials, work in process, as well as finished goods inspection
- Investigate customer issues and complaints relating to quality with engineering and production departments through root cause analysis
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service
- Utilize statistical analysis to establish product specifications, to determine standards, and to establish quality and reliability of finished products in a data driven organization.
- Active with customer service to ensure proper logging of product non conformances.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures and ensure proper inspection protocol is followed on batch sheets.
- Maintain working knowledge of ERP systems and processes. Update and maintain the accuracy of engineering masters, raw material specifications and safety data sheets as needed.
- Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Perform Internal and LPA Audits
- Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
- Develops protocols for validation, evaluates data, and writes reports.
- Be responsible for the new testing equipment and new test methods development – MSA, GR&R included.
- Collaborates with Process Engineer on PFMEA development and revisions.
- Collaborate with Material Engineer, Quality Manager and R&D Team on Control Plans development or revision.
- Be the voice of Quality and collaborate with Product Manager.
- Lead Continuous Improvement efforts, problem identification, improvement, and resolution.
- Prepares reports to evaluate effectiveness of quality systems.
- Provides support to Quality Team and customer representatives in regards to quality issues resolutions.
- Works with suppliers to resolve or improve quality issues and to implement effective corrective action.
- Develops and maintains quality standards and requirements for development and design projects.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure alignment of company objectives.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within internal processes and through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
- Assure QMS documentation compliance organization wide.
- Act as liaison for internal and external communications directly with customers as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Quality Manager Requirements:
- B.S. degree in chemistry, engineering; graduate degree preferred (M.S. or MBA) or combination of education & experience
- 6+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience with ISO and/or IATF certifications
- Leadership with deep understanding of product quality
- Ability to improve the quality culture throughout the organization
- Ability to learn quickly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions.
- Ability to make sound decisions and construct timely solutions.
- Ability to employ good judgment, act with integrity, take ownership and accountability, and seek advice when necessary.
- A corporate advocate and mentor resource for structured problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and document preparation skills
- Solid understanding of technical and process requirements
- Strong Team Building & Conflict Resolution skills
