Mechanical Engineer

Position Description

• These positions will be located out of San Jose California in the Mechanical Engineering group.
• In this role, candidate will lead the integration of vehicle sub-system components and installations onto the vehicle platform.
• Candidate should have experience with vehicle mechanical engineering design relevant to ground vehicle applications in the defense environment.
• Candidate will have responsibility to update and release design changes using PTC CREO and completing all related design change processes.

Job Duties:

• Develop designs to meet provided requirements -Incorporation of design revisions
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements
• Participate in design and process reviews
• Interface with senior members of integrated product team to status issues
• Candidate will at all times promote and maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety rules of the company.

Skills Required

• Must be experienced using CREO or similar CAD software
• Must be organized and have excellent communication skills
• Must be a self-starter that takes ownership of tasks and drives them to completion
• Good engineering analytical skills. Have understanding of and ability to apply GD&T to drawings
• Experience analyzing bolted joints
• Experience performing tolerance analyses

Skills Preferred

• Experience with PTC CREO ( >2 yrs) creating models and drawings
• Familiar with military vehicles

Experience Required

• 2 years minimum experience in related engineering field

Education Required

• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
