About the Role

This is a highly visible role and you will be expected to work collaboratively with creative and talented teams of experienced research and development antenna engineers. Ideally you will have already worked in a similar engineering setting and have considerable experience with Solidworks and able to create 3D project design models. You will be an experienced engineer who is diligent, ambitious and have excellent communication skills with the ability to plan and execute projects in a timely manner and able to maintain adequate design records to ensure traceability. This role will complement our existing talented engineering teams, and you will be expected to provide technical support for existing and new projects and designs.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a mechanical design environment
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD modelling software, Solidworks preferred
  • Proficiency with 2D drawings, including critical-to-function details and tolerancing
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes, especially DFA and designing for molding and tooling.
  • Experience with sheet metal and plastic injection molding for high-volume production and related tooling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical design problems in a systematic way
  • Experience of drawing and document process control

  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to travel domestically or internationally on occasion.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner

Responsibilities:

This mechanical engineering position involves designing and drafting plastic and metal components and assemblies for RF and antenna components and products, from concept through to production.

  • Carry out product mechanical design, from initial concept through to detail design, material selection and production drawings
  • Fabricate and assemble prototypes as required
  • Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical challenges
  • Work with a talented and creative RF and Antenna Design team to create world-class antenna products

  • Reporting to: Team Lead
  • Responsible to: Global Head of Engineering
  • Liaise with: Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Product Management and Engineering department of other Taoglas Group subsidiaries.
