Senior Digital Automation Engineer

Meet has partnered with one of our top CRO clients. They are seeking a seasoned Senior Digital Automation Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support AI/ML workflows for data analysis and equipment automation.
• Lead and manage automation projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with objectives.
• Collaborate with global teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop and implement equipment integration and automation to demonstrate proof of concept for commercialization.
• Oversee pre-market evaluations, alpha/beta testing of PAT software, and bioprocess automation technologies.
• Implement PAT sensors and software in automated bioprocessing R&D labs using single-use technologies.
• Support automation of batch and continuous bioprocessing operations with PAT.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 digital technologies in bioprocessing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering/automation, preferably in pharma/biopharma.
• Expertise in integrating AI/ML into equipment and workflows.
• Familiarity with industrial data transfer protocols (OPC, MQTT, REST).
• Proficient in programming languages like Java and Python; C++ knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Delta V, Allen Bradley, Siemens).
• Solid understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and Data Integrity standards.
• Ability to work in an R&D laboratory setting.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the US.
