Job Description
Job Summary –
Skills equiv. to 5+ years in comparable position. Will participate in the design and implementation of automated testing technologies and will also participate in various software engineering projects using advanced development patterns. Will actively collaborate with the team in ongoing product testing, including design, development, review, integration, test, and deployment activities. Must have the ability to be self-directed and able to work with an extended, remote team to deliver products in a timely manner. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced development environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques.
Years of experience needed – 5+ years
· 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
· Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
· Proven track record in leading QA teams or projects (optional)
Technical Skills:
· Test Automation: Proficiency in tools like MABL, Selenium, or Saucelabs.
· Performance Testing: Knowledge of tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
· Defect Tracking Tools: Experience with JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
· Programming Languages: Familiarity with languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
· CI/CD: Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Soft Skills
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems and devise solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring high quality in every aspect of software development.
- Leadership: Skills in managing and mentoring QA teams (optional)
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Methodologies
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Other Relevant Skills
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
- Experience in risk management and assessment in QA processes.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
