We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to lead the execution of our engineering projects and support key business initiatives.
Job Overview:
As a SCADA/HMI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. You will work closely with clients and engineering teams to develop control solutions that ensure efficient monitoring and control of processes across various industrial applications. In this role, you will ensure that systems meet technical and performance requirements, are secure, reliable, and scalable, and align with industry standards.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will contribute to ongoing project success by coordinating with project managers, supporting proposal efforts, and engaging in business development initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless integration between software, hardware, and communication protocols, while identifying opportunities to optimize system performance and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Documentation:
Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including:
o AMS /SCADA point lists
o IP address lists and communication paths
o Logic diagrams and control narratives
o HMI mockups and functional specifications.
- Network Switch Configuration& Security:
o Configure network switches, time servers, and other network components.
o Configure security gateways and firewalls.
- RTU Configuration & Protocols:
o Configure Orion LX, Orion LX+, and SEL RTAC RTUs based on SCADA point assignment sheets.
o Integrate IED and SCADA gateways through various protocols like DNP3, IEC1850, and Modbus.
4.HMI Configuration:
o Configure HMI systems for GE and SEL RTAC devices to ensure effective monitoring and control of field operations.
o Implement HMI alarms, graphics, and trending tools for real-time operational visibility.
- Data Concentration & Metering:
o Configure and integrate Phasor Data Concentrators (PDCs), and Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) or synchrophasor data.
o Configure revenue metering devices.
- Field Support & Troubleshooting:
o Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting of binary and analog points.
o Collaborate with field teams to diagnose and resolve communication issues between field devices and SCADA
systems.
- Project Management & Customer Interface:
o Assist project managers with scheduling and budget tracking.
o Work directly with customers to gather requirements, provide technical support, and ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in SCADA/HMI system design and implementation. Expertise in RTUs (Orion LX, SEL RTAC), HMI systems, industry protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850), network configuration, and cybersecurity principles is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and project coordination skills are required. The candidate should be comfortable working independently, collaborating within teams, and traveling occasionally for field support.
