Sentinel is an employee-owned, self-funded partnership pursuing a build, hold, and distribute cash flow model.
Role Description
This is an on-site role for Head of Operations in Houston, TX. This partner will be involved in all aspects of Sentinel's business units, especially focused on upstream and associated service activities. This includes production management and optimization (operated and non-op lease operating expense supervision, artificial lift design, etc.); capital and expense investment project appraisal, design, and management (P&A, rod repair, casing repair, recompletions, fishing, drilling, etc.); and reservoir engineering.
This individual will have the opportunity to contribute to any and all other activities of the company, including in-house and third-party service work, midstream operations, and technology development, all of which are intended to grow value on the upstream assets by lowering structural costs of long-term operations and investment projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on operations experience with a variety of activities relevant to managing and growing Sentinel's assets (production, completions, fishing, drilling, and reservoir to a lesser degree). Sentinel is mostly focused on conventional plays, so conventionals expertise and interest is preferred. Familiarity with service operations is a plus but not required. Geologic / petrophysical expertise and interest also a plus.
Compensation
Sentinel offers competitive cash salary (based on the requirements of the partner) and healthcare benefits. Our primary focus is on adding partners who want to become significant owners in the business for the long term, after a mutual trial period is successfully completed, and create wealth through equity value appreciation and distributions. We offer sizeable (25%+) discounts on going-concern valuation for new partners buying into the business.
As a partner, this person would have a critical say in all decision-making as the company plans to remain employee-controlled and self-funded indefinitely.
