Murex SMEs

We are building a team of Technical and Functional Murex Consultants in Chicago responsible for enhancing and supporting current Murex Enterprise Risk Management implementation. The role will revolve around the support of the Murex application as well as application development to drive superior business value, enhanced customer experience and compliance. The consultant is expected to interface with multiple traders and Credit\Market Risk Managers. This is a demanding role with an opportunity to collaborate with experts in the capital market space.

Qualifications:

• Solid technical background with at least 3 years of demonstrated track record in end-to-end software development life cycle and successful delivery of technical solutions using Murex.

• Expertise in Murex, particularly Credit & Market Risk configurations (PFE, CVA, VaR), Trade interface development (TDS, LTS), Market Data interface development (mdit), static data interfaces, workflow configuration, datamart reporting.

• Experience with project feasibility, requirements gathering, design and/or project leadership.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Murex Technical Knowledge:

-Credit risk configuration

-Market risk configuration & ANT scripting

-Workflow configuration and development

-Datamart configurations

-Interface development (TDS, LTS, MDIT)

Nice to have:

• Additional Technical Knowledge

-Linux bash scripting

-SQL

• Domain knowledge:

-Market Risk – VaR, DV01, NOP

-Credit Risk – PFE, CVA, SIMM

-Trade pricing - IRD, FXD, SCF

Tasks & Responsibilities (for technical roles):

• Address tickets escalated by L1/L2 teams.

• Work with SME, Business Analysts to develop new market and credit risk solutions in Murex

• Lead operational escalations from incident origination to close, plus any root cause, remediation, and prevention.

• Reporting of incidents to management and stakeholders during incident lifecycle.

• Operational reporting on issues and root causes, as well as follow up actions as required from dev team and/or vendors.

• Hands-on improve operational stability via automation, such as auto healing where possible, and raise design changes to Data analysts, SMEs and/or architects, as well as opportunities to application /service managers.

• Ensure runbooks are fully up-to-date and unlock efficiency derived from automation.
