Automation Project Engineer – Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and layout of automated systems supplied by vendors or OEMs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of automation into the production process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize downtime
  • Monitor the performance of installed systems, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Conduct regular audits of automated systems and recommend improvements
  • Manage relationships with vendors and OEMs to ensure timely delivery and support
  • Provide training and technical support to production teams on the operation of automation systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in automation within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of overseeing the installation and layout of automated systems
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, and HMI systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with OEMs and vendors in automation system delivery and setup
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated equipment
