Lead DevOps Engineer

Title: Lead DevOps Engineer
Position Type: Full-time
Schedule: Primarily hybrid (3 days per week), with flexibility to be onsite as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide strategic direction for timely, high-quality delivery of technical products.
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and agile methodologies across development teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workflows through automation, CI/CD, and other DevOps practices.
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of infrastructure and applications within cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), using automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system availability and rapid response to operational issues.
- Administer and maintain DevOps tools, including version control (e.g., Git), build automation (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), configuration management (e.g., Chef, Puppet), and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Partner with security teams to enforce compliance with standards and integrate security best practices in the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience across software development, IT operations, or DevOps functions, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles like CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and workflows (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
