We have a current opportunity for an ETL Lead (Snowflake/Talend) on a contract basis. The position will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

The ETL Lead (Snowflake/Talend/Python) will:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes using Talend and Snowflake.
  • Mentor and guide team members in best practices for ETL development and data management.
  • Prepare regular status reports, track project progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and enforce coding standards and quality assurance measures.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Utilize Python for scripting and automating ETL tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards.
  • Understand the design, work with designer, and based on that plans the ETL development. Perform ETL development, create the schedule/dependencies. At times do the independent testing.
  • Provide the testing support for defect triage and resolution across the SIT, UAT phases.
  • Investigate production ETL issues / problems.
  • Create production deployment plan, run book, and get approval.
  • Implement performance tuning using SQL and ETL Toolsets.
  • Integrate ETL processes with CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
  • Manage the migration of ETL processes across different environments and perform production deployments.
  • Work with job orchestration team to ensure proper scheduling of ETL workflows.
  • Integrate with Data governance tools such as Alation, Manta, PKWare/Cyera.
  • SnowPro Basic Certification

Qualifications :

  • Experienced ETL Lead to support company in loading data into Snowflake and AWS Cloud. The role involves leading a team of offshore members to ensure data is properly ingested, transformed, and loaded across the bronze, silver, and gold layers.
