Summary/Objective:
Commercial Audiovisual Service Technicians are responsible for the care, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial audiovisual systems. These systems include videoconferencing technologies, videowall and display presentations, large integration systems, and audiovisual setups in event spaces.
Essential Functions:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance appointments as outlined by the service contract.
- Review service cases prior to scheduled appointments to ensure preparedness and successful case completion.
- Maintain detailed notes on all diagnostic work and issue resolutions.
- Enter status/summary reports for all assigned cases daily.
- Manage equipment returns and repairs as needed for each case.
- Coordinate with manufacturers for RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) and ensure defective items are returned properly.
- Maintain stock of parts and tools in the service vehicle.
- Schedule vehicle maintenance and service while ensuring the vehicle remains clean and well-organized.
- Adhere to installation standards and report any infractions to the CET Coordinator.

Work Environment:
- Primarily fieldwork, traveling to various client and customer sites.
Physical Demands:
- Bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and extended periods of standing or sitting.
Travel Requirements:
- Local travel 90% of the time, out-of-state travel 10% of the time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audiovisual installation or support.
- Experience interfacing with customers.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of signal flow, wiring techniques, and cable terminations.
- Must have a current DPS fingerprint card.
- Valid driver’s license required.
