Job Title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid working)

Salary Range: $88,334 - $132,502 annually

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our innovative Electronics Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of cutting-edge electronics hardware circuits, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power supply designs for airworthy electronic engine controllers and monitoring systems. You will play a crucial role in developing next-generation Aero Engine Control Systems that deliver world-class efficiency, diagnostics, and cyber threat protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and execute electronics circuit designs for control and monitoring systems.
  • Schematics and PCB Layout: Create schematics and support PCB layout processes.
  • Analysis and Simulations: Perform trade study analysis, tolerance analysis, and various simulations to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
  • Worst Case Circuit Calculations: Conduct worst case circuit calculations and analyses, including tolerance, stress, and FMEA analysis.
  • Hardware Development: Develop and test electrical hardware products in the lab, including diagnosing and inspecting through the development lifecycle.
  • Certification Documentation: Compile functional descriptions and design assurance testing results into comprehensive reports for certifying authorities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of Electronic Hardware Circuit Design experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, OR
  • PhD in Electronics/Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in circuit design
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Strong background in Electronic Hardware Design
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools such as Allegro-Cadence or Altium Designer
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of power converters, filtering, protection, and EMI reduction techniques
  • Ability to analyze and translate high-level requirements into validated designs for electrical components
