SBA Loan Assistant

JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision and following established policies and procedures, assists Loan Servicing Manager to gather and organize information that supports new loan closing and post funding activities and coordinate daily activities and functions of loan servicing.
DUTIES
- Assist loan officers to request credit report, business report and CAIVRS, SAM, OFAC and UCC search.
- Coordinate with Note Department, Escrow, Title or Insurance agents for loan closing funding and disbursements.
- Assists in operational duties of the department, including secondary market sales bid submission and packaging; ticklers maintenance; loan payments, advance/ paydown process; insurance, past due loan payments follow-up and payment of referral fees and associates vendors, i.e. appraisal, environmental and title fees, etc.
- Prepare and update daily, weekly and monthly administrative reports
- Assist customers and officers and follow up on outstanding items and related questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION:College degree in accounting or business preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of experience in banking or customer service positions preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- PC literate in MS Word and Excel
- thorough accounting concepts
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- organize and detail-oriented with the ability to function in a team environment
- bilingual may be required.
