Network Security Engineer Job Summary:

We’re seeking a highly skilled network security manager who has the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon a network and security infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. In this role, the network security manager will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical network infrastructure with an eye toward optimization, compliance and security.
Network Security Engineer Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a global Network Security Engineering platform responsible for the designing, building and running a global footprint of network security infrastructure in a 24x7 high availability environment, including on-premises and cloud-based network security
- Prioritize and manage execution of day-to-day operational network security changes to firewall, IDS/IPS and other network security device configurations to defend against known and emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT colleagues and business owners to recommend and implement solutions for continuous improvement or to realize new capabilities
- Manage the scoping, design, planning and execution of network security related projects
- Ensure policy & standards and any regulatory change is captured as required
- Help design and implement network security strategy including cloud enablement and establishing next generation firewall features and capabilities
- Maintain, deploy, upgrade and troubleshoot network security infrastructure solutions including firewalls, load balancers, client VPN and Intrusion Prevention Systems
- Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to develop consistent technical solutions, implementation activities and support processes
- Participate in the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of security appliances, applications and infrastructure services
- Assist with on-call support as needed
- Conducting regular security assessments, audits and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement
- Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program improvement.
- Coordinate security related projects and work activities between technical operations, enterprise applications, and network systems staff
- Implement system software/hardware security standards, upgrade procedures, and maintenance activities to meet reliability, security, accessibility standards, and expectations.
- Recommend innovative technologies and/or upgrades to current technologies to improve security; promote and coordinate the development of training and education on IT security and related matters; develop appropriate security incident notification procedures.
Network Security Manager Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experienced in Datacenter Networking and Security Partner Eco system preferred and knowledge of partner sales and channels in ASEAN
- Professional Security Certification such as CISA or CISSP or others
- A sound understanding of security architecture and defense in depth
- An in depth understanding of information security, security policies, account security policies and standards for logical and physical security implementations
- Knowledge of Information Risk Management or Risk-Based Compliance with FIMSA, PCI DSS, FFIEC, NIST, ISO or other control/risk frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of PCI DSS
- Knowledge of IT security solutions (Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Access Security Broker, Data Leakage Prevention, Web Application Firewall, Multi Factor Authentication, Data Rights Management, Identity Access/Privileged Access Management, etc.)
- Extensive experience of working directly with client stakeholders as a single point of contact, managing escalations and driving remediation initiatives
- Understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and other relevant compliance such PCI, HIPAA, SOX, SOC2, FISMA
- Experience with and knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Network Security Manager Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in public cloud (level of architect, security engineer/specialist) or Security Certifications in CISSP, CISM, CCSP or CCSK, CEH, CISA, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional
- Familiarity with industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements related to information security and cloud computing such as GDPR, ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, HIPAA, etc.
- Scripting experience using either Shell, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PowerShell, Azure-CLI, AWS-CLI, GCP CLI, etc.
- Certifications for product or vendor security solutions such as: AZ-500, SC-200
- Strong knowledge of the Linux, Windows, and UNIX
- Knowledge of public cloud environments (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud), preferred to currently possess foundational certification
Network Security Manager Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work late evenings hours, nights and weekends.
