Employer Relations Consultant

Our client seeks an experienced Employee Relations Manager to support their team! The ideal candidate has in-depth Employee Relations expertise and previous experience working in a union environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations issues by providing guidance and support to managers and supervisors.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, partnering with HRBPs and Labor Relations to recommend actions.
- Advise on disciplinary processes and ensure fair, timely handling of employee relations cases.
- Interpret and administer Collective Bargaining Agreements while minimizing organizational risk.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to improve the organizational climate and enhance employee experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR and employee relations experience, including exposure to union/non-union organization.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and labor relations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday or similar).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and resolve conflicts.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing demands.
This hybrid position requires an onsite presence in Boston - local or relocating candidates only, please.
