Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Chicago. IL, Hybrid

Contract: 6 months contract

Our Client is seeking a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain a platform that enables research scientists to easily access and use machine learning (ML) models. The role involves close collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, and research scientists to integrate ML models into a no-code environment. The goal is to create a user-friendly platform that accelerates materials discovery by providing intuitive interfaces, scalable back-end services, and model deployment architecture.

The role is ideal for someone experienced in building user-friendly, scalable applications that make AI and ML accessible to non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities:

• ML Model Deployment: Develop scalable pipelines for ML model deployment and create a no-code platform for researchers to run and interact with models. Ensure models are secure and optimized for cloud environments.
• Platform Development: Design full-stack web applications that facilitate ML model access for non-technical users. Integrate existing research data platforms to streamline data flow.
• Automation and Monitoring: Automate model retraining, versioning, and deployment processes. Develop tools to monitor model performance and provide feedback for improvements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the data science team to deploy models and with research scientists to design user-friendly features. Provide documentation and resources for the no-code platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in full-stack development (front-end: React, Angular, Vue; back-end: Node.js, Python, .net), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), RESTful APIs, microservices, serverless architectures, and databases (SQL, NoSQL). Familiarity with ML concepts and experience in no-code/low-code environments is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills, especially when working with non-technical team members.
• Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 8-10+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably with ML model deployment.
