The firm handles a wide variety of cases and disputes, but focuses primarily on complex matters. Those matters regularly involved "bet-the-company" cases, excess exposure cases, death or serious injury, punitive damages, class actions, cases attacking a professional's career, and several other matters that present significant risk. The firm's lawyers litigate and try cases throughout Florida's circuit and appellate courts, and in Federal District Courts located in Florida. While also litigating in other states, the firm provides general counsel, transactional and other business-related services for their clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Paralegal at ORR | COOK in Jacksonville, FL. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, not limited to legal document preparation, document review, certain legal and public records research, preparation of trial and hearing binders and exhibits, exhibit review and presentation, drafting of page-line summaries, discovery and public record requests, and overall discovery and case management. Qualifications

• Legal Document Preparation, Document Review, and Legal Research skills
• Ability to draft certain legal documents for attorney review
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of court procedures and filing systems
• Familiarity with jury and bench trial process and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working in a law firm or legal setting
• Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies is a plus
