HCLTech is looking to hire a Systems EngineerI who will manage the day-to-day technical needs of installing, configuring, and upgrading Omnicell products within varying hospital environments. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot Omnicell products as necessary, both remotely and onsite, to meet the needs of your colleagues as well as healthcare customers.

Detailed description/responsibilities:

Omnicell has a dynamic opportunity for a Systems Engineer I who will manage the day-to-day technical needs of installing, configuring, and upgrading Omnicell products within varying hospital environments. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot Omnicell products as necessary, both remotely and onsite, to meet the needs of your colleagues as well as healthcare customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Omnicell technical resource assigned to perform tasks to include discovery work, client upgrades and low complexity server software upgrades.
  • Performs minimal troubleshooting on issues as needed and escalates to higher level Engineers or Technical Support.
  • Handle remote and onsite device software installs, upgrades, and configurations of Omnicell systems for customers.
  • Occasionally travel to hospitals for onsite activities as part of product installations and upgrades.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of enterprise level IT technologies, including:
  • Enterprise server and software architecture
  • Networking TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Internet/Intranet technologies.
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware) and deployment procedures
  • Cloud & hybrid cloud on premise infrastructure
  • Windows security and system patch management (WSUS, SCCM)
  • VPN setup, security hardware and applications
  • Remote access to administrate system.
  • SAN/NAS storage
  • Windows workstations and servers through Windows 10 and Server 2022
  • Troubleshooting software, virtual, and hardware systems
  • Demonstrate effective customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Delivers technical installation work under guidance and supervision.
  • Receives coaching and mentoring to develop ability to convey technical / process information effectively.
  • Knowledge of general business applications such as MS Office, text messaging, instant messenger, etc.
  • Possess ability in managing business travel, continuing education, expenses, and customer engagements independently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field and 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • CompTIA N+ certification or industry equivalent
  • Healthcare IT industry experience

Work Conditions:

  • Travel Up to 25%
