Job Brief

The Turbine Technician II is responsible for all duties associated with the inspection, repair, replacement, installation, adjustment, removal, and maintenance of turbine engines. Our client uses Honeywell turbine technology based on the T55-GA-714A engine used in the US Army Chinook helicopter. Our client is a Honeywell licensed company authorized to manufacture turbine engine solutions for industrial and marine applications.

Responsibilities

· Perform the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assembly of various turbine engine models.

· Follow written maintenance instructions while documenting measurements, clearances and steps performed.

· Fit, install and / or modify to close tolerance, blades, nozzles, locking keys, assemblies, and turning gears.

· Prepare turbine parts for installation, including sandblasting, cleaning, etc.

· Perform such duties as inspecting engine parts using precision measuring equipment and calculating clearances.

· Set-up completed turbines for rotational testing.

· Design and fabricate parts, as required.

· Be willing to travel to support off site maintenance troubleshooting and support in remote locations.

Desired Qualifications

· Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

· Turboshaft engine or industrial turbine engine maintenance experience is highly desired.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience applying mechanical principles in the repair, maintenance, and installation of various types of mechanical equipment.

· Accomplished skills in aviation or industrial trade along with experience on power generating equipment.

· Experience using precision measurement tools and engine balance equipment.

· Proficient in the English language.

· Ability to understand technical maintenance data and the ability to document the steps performed.

· Proactive problem solver.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.

· Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person.

Working Conditions

· 40-hour work week, which could fluctuate to more or fewer hours depending on the amount of work

· Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment.

· Potential exposure to chemicals, coolants, fire hazards, dust, fumes, as well as high noise levels.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to reach, bend, push, lift, and climb continuously.
