About the Role: The Mobile Device Management Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of Client Tablets and Mobile phones.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, document, and maintain Microsoft Intune and VMware Workspace ONE solutions for mobile device management.
- Develop and enforce mobile device usage, security, and compliance policies.
- Oversee the enrollment and configuration of mobile devices across various operating systems, including iOS, Android, and Windows.
- Ensure seamless and secure onboarding processes for new devices and users.
- Implement security measures and controls to protect mobile devices from threats.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations (e.g., PCI).
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for issues related to mobile device management.
- Work closely with IT support teams to resolve end-user issues and improve user experience.
- Create and manage device policies, profiles, and compliance rules in Microsoft Intune and VMware Workspace ONE.
- Regularly update and maintain MDM profiles and configurations as per organizational requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports on device compliance, security incidents, and usage patterns.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of MDM configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Conducted training sessions and provided guidance to end-users and IT staff on MDM best practices and usage.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in mobile security and management technologies.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least three (3) years of progressive professional technical experience with Android in a large, dispersed information technology environment.
- Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar certification
- Digital Workspace (VCP-DW) or similar certification.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, RESTful API)
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft Intune and VMWare Workspace ONE, including configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows).
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance regulations related to mobile device management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Preferred Skills:
- BS Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related technical area training.
- Technical certifications include any of the following: VMWare Certifications, Cisco Certifications, Microsoft Certifications; Cloud certifications, Agile training, Six Sigma, and ITIL.
- Managing Android policies, updates, and APKs.
- Progressive Web App experience highly desired
