Board Verification Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define, develop, and execute the Datacenter GPU pre-silicon and post-silicon PCBA validation test plans and schedule with cross-functional engagement from the various design teams, program leads and, program managers.
• Develop platform validation plans and flows while ensuring end to end coverage
• Develop and implement debug strategies to drive resolution of issues across all phases of the program
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines (hardware, firmware, software, and/or data center infrastructure) on design requirements and risks, design reviews , proof of concept projects , assessing system tradeoffs and impact on performance, identifying dependencies for validation and manufacturing tests.
• Through comprehensive laboratory work, test new designs to verify compliance to original specifications.
• Support various teams with board and system related issues during the characterization and launch phases of new board development.
• Set-up and utilize dashboards for tracking execution tasks, issues identified, gaps in relevant processes , proposed design changes and, lessons learned.
• Review converter topologies and select power components like PWM controllers, power transistors and passive filter elements such as magnetics and capacitors.
• Provide comprehensive yet concise execution and issue updates to management.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of power electronics with special emphasis on multiphase power converters
• Demonstrated ability to work with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, current probes, electronic loads, and protocol analyzers as well as adept at intuitive reasoning to explain and correct unexpected results.
• Proficient at documenting experimental results in a structured manner for ease of reference
• Experience with hardware, firmware, management firmware, and/or software (system & application stack) interfaces across all modules in a system
• Ability to use circuit simulations tools such as PSPICE, LTSPICE, and SIMPLIS
• FPGA and CPLD development knowledge
• Knowledge of schematic capture, circuit design, routing constraints definition, layout review and simulation
• Power and signal integrity analysis
• Familiarity with the low-speed industry standard protocols such as I2C, SPI, I3C, SVI2, SVI3 and for the high-speed industry standard protocols such as PCIe Gen 5.
• High-speed interface characterization
• Test automation expertise using Perl/Tcl/Python/LabView
• Strong analytical, communication and, collaboration skills
• Must excel in a dynamic team working environment and independently drive tasks to completion.
