Miami-based private investment firm is currently accepting applications for a full-time private equity Analyst.This position is designed to be a 2-3-year apprenticeship program with a high degree of mentoring, responsibility and potential for career advancement at our firm. Candidates are expected to live and work in Miami, Florida.

This includes converting non-technology service-based businesses into technology-driven companies and/or converting legacy software companies into SaaS companies. The firm’s founders have worked on Wall Street for over 20 years as investment bankers, private equity investors, and CEOs of multiple companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the head Analyst at our firm, you will have the opportunity to work directly for the Managing Partners and be responsible for managing routines relating to deal origination, company research, and financial modeling while assisting with due diligence, M&A transaction execution and portfolio company operations.
As an Analyst, you will be accountable for the following ongoing responsibilities:
(1) Managing our deal sourcing/origination process for both proprietary and broker channels
(2) Conducting company-level due diligence and industry-level research and analysis
(3) Building and maintaining Excel financial models (historical, pro-forma, DCF, LBO)
(4) Coaching and managing interns to help you achieve the desired output for the firm
TECHNICAL & ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS (IQ)
- Screen through information to prioritize investment opportunities based on pre-established criterion
- Gather, organize, manipulate, and convert disparate information into structured CRM data
- Conduct financial analysis, build historical and pro-forma financial statements (IS, BS, CF)
- Think critically to identify trends, prepare and present conclusions from your analysis
- Build, maintain and troubleshoot complex Excel financial models and manipulate structured data
- Draw rational conclusions in a fast-paced environment while self-managing a high-volume workflow
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy while multi-tasking and shifting priorities
SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTS (EQ)
- Adaptable to rebalance workload and workflows based on changes in stages of M&A deals
- Communicate confidently and effectively with brokers, investment bankers and CEOs/CFOs

EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS
- Bachelor degree from a competitive school (Master degree is beneficial, but not required)
- Completion of 2+ years of continuous work experience within management consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, corporate development, audit/assurance, equity research, or strategic planning
- Prior experience with middle-market M&A is highly preferred, but not required
COMPENSATION & ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Compensation includes starting base salary with performance-based salary increases, transaction bonuses, and co-investment in acquired companies. Analysts will receive meaningful senior-level training/mentorship and will have the ability to play a significant role in executing live M&A transactions. Top performers will be eligible for promotion to Associate after 2-3 years. As an Associate you will also become eligible for participation in carried interest, and senior positions at portfolio companies.
