Metallurgical Engineer

Job duties

  • Collaboration: You will partner with our quality, production, and maintenance teams to enhance our processes, reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive Change: You will play a pivotal role in the ongoing improvements to our annealing process and other continuous improvement projects.
  • Solve Problems: You will aid in Root Cause Analysis of process-related defects, ensuring the resolution of any issues affecting our final products.
  • Customer Advocate: You will contribute to troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints, utilizing failure analysis and metallographic interpretations to uphold our commitment to best-in-class service.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Materials Engineering or another related technical field.
  • One-plus years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Metallurgy and steel manufacturing knowledge, including the use of metallurgical lab equipment.
  • Experience in an IATF 16949 or ISO-9000-based quality system.
  • Experience in APQP and PPAP processes.
