Selby Jennings is partnered with a tech-centric, rapidly growing investment management firm looking to scale the engineering organization. This firm specializes in pricing parcels of land that hold real assets. Their platform is utilized by their buyers/sellers/investment associates to make key investment decisions directly related to the firm's PnL.

Currently, they are seeking an exceptional Software Engineering Manager who will lead by example—guiding, mentoring, and building alongside the engineering team, while still actively coding up to 50% of the time.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in finance, oil & gas, fintech, or investment management is highly preferred.
• 12+ years of professional experience with 5+ years in a leadership position
• Actively coding and solving problems alongside your team members.
• A proven track record of fostering collaboration, empathy, and psychological safety within engineering teams.
• Excited about building innovative solutions and unafraid to take calculated risks to drive value.
• Adept at balancing day-to-day execution with long-term goals, ensuring that projects align with the company’s mission.
• You have an eye for precision—whether it’s in coding, project management, or understanding complex financial systems.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience will be seriously considered.
