Pay Rate: $32-39/hr on W2
Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Compensation:
$32/hr to $39/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills and Experience *
-Experience servicing, supporting, commissioning of Alerton building automation systems and controls, previously Andover Controls now Honeywell Systems
-Strong experience with Test, check out and commissioning of Building Automation Systems as Service Technician, Field Technician, Systems Specialist or Electrician within a similar BAS HVAC Domain
-Understanding of HVAC Equipment and how to test and commission systems, examples include: Fan Motor, HVAC systems, Air Handlers, VAV (Variable Air Volume) Boxes, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Damper Actuators, Temp Sensors, Valves, and Turning Power on/off, boilers/chillers etc.
-Experience in servicing electronic control, understanding of electrical components and design .
-Advanced experience troubleshooting mechanical, HVAC and electrical issues as related to the BAS Control system operation.
-Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
-Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
-Great attitude - willing to learn - Degree may be offset by two years of experience in servicing electronic and or mechnical HVAC systems.
-First preference would be to have someone with BMS or BAS Systems experience, secondary to this they could have Electrician/Electronics background since they understand how to read technical diagrams and understand termination diagrams, 3rd preference would be HVAC Technician experience NOT Maintenance/Refrigeration Tech, this is a Field Services Technician role going onsite to customer locations troubleshooting and testing the BMS equipment as a Systems Specialist/Technician

Job Description *
Insight Global is looking for a Building Automation Systems Specialist for a large Building Automation Services company. The Systems Specialist will be servicing the Avenue of the Americas building in NYC responsible for check-out, testing and commission of systems to ensure proper installation of Building Automation Systems and HVAC Equipment is working properly for their service team. The customers this team supports are in Manhattan NYC and Northern NJ, the first project will be for the Avenue of the Americas building. The clients they service include Financial Headquarters, Large Data Centers, High-end Residential Buildings, Corporate Office Buildings, Rental Condos etc. This is field technician systems support role is for non-residential, commercial buildings and customer install projects won by their internal sales team. The Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing support for automation project requests as customer client projects are brought in. Based on level of experience: The Senior Technician will help to supervise the Junior-Mid level System Specialist to help them to conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general troubleshooting support of systems. They should have a highly technical aptitude. Daily, they will be responsible for check out and commissioning efforts, balancer support and troubleshooting of HVAC Equipment for the Building Automation Solutions they provide. They will do this by going onsite per customer location to check installation was done correctly, re-check electrical teams work for basic hook wires/valves/ducts, support and testing the systems for operational performance. Some of the HVAC and BAS systems they will be supporting include Air Handlers, VAV (Variable Air Volume) Boxes, Cooling Towers, Boiler Controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Damper Actuators, Temp Sensors, Humidity Sensors, Fans, Valves, and Turning Power on/off.
