Summary
The Maintenance Technician works directly with Maintenance Supervisor in the repair, replacement, or modification of plant vehicles and equipment. The technician is responsible for the upkeep of all company vehicles and equipment while meeting time-sensitive deadlines. Depending upon the product mix on the production schedule, the Technician may work independently or may have others in the yard that may or may not directly report to them.

- Keeps inventory counts for Maintenance Manager and informs them of ordering needs.
- Keeps an accurate inventory for parts and needed supplies.
- Fixes any issues or breakdowns on the company vehicles or equipment.
- Assists in parts repair and replacement for various types of equipment and vehicles.
- Assists with plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Assists with fabrication functions such as welding and torch cutting.
- Safely operates all power tools.
- Coordinates with all departments to ensure all vehicles and equipment are working properly.
- Puts away all tools and cleans work area at the end of each shift.
- Perform all tasks assigned by Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Adhere to and support all Quality Control and Safety Standards, as well as all Company policies.
- Reports to work on time, physically and mentally ready to work, and operates all tasks in a safe manner.
Work Schedule
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday, 5:00 am / 6:30 am start with some Saturdays as needed.
This position is 40-45+ hours and pays overtime!
Required Education and Experience
- Within the last 10 years, 2 years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Heavy machinery experience ?
- Diesel
- Hydraulics
