Team Overview:

The Enterprise AI team is responsible for 7B$+ LOBs at LinkedIn across Hirer, Learning and Enterprise Jobs verticals. The Hirer AI team is responsible for connecting individuals to opportunities and is building the next generation recruiter platform consisting of GenAI powered tools such as AI assisted search and automated inMails. The exciting new charter of Hiring Assistant which will revolutionize recruiting workflows, is also LinkedIn’s #1 priority.

The work in the team includes building, tuning and applying generative AI models where relevant, working with Open AI to power GAI applications where relevant and innovating on cutting edge search and recommendation models to retrieve the best candidates for a given role.

The LinkedIn Learning AI team is responsible for revolutionizing the online learning space and career development for employees by transforming the way users acquire new skills, improve existing ones, and prepare for the next challenges in their careers. By leveraging Generative AI, and Search & Recommendation technologies we power Learning recommendation, Learning search, and LLM-powered copilot systems specifically designed to empower our users to achieve their learning goals. The Enterprise Jobs AI team is responsible for connecting millions of job opportunities to our members and creating the best talent matching experience for our clients. There are opportunities to also work on cross-functional technologies that power job creation and promotion systems.

This is a full-time engineering role based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities:

As the manager in the Enterprise AI team, you will work with highly experienced and passionate AI Engineers and a very brilliant cross functional team, all laser-focused on creating platforms to connect all individuals in the global workplace to all the global opportunities and to create an impact on the learning, career development and job finding journeys of millions of LinkedIn users!

With Enterprise being the largest LOB for LinkedIn, and an opportunity to scale them significantly makes this role a hyper growth role for a manager.

  • Directly responsible for a team of 6-10 engineers.
  • Work closely with various other teams (Product, Applications, Infrastructure, Vertical AI teams, etc.) to align on initiatives, leveraging existing solutions, and ensure optimal collaboration.
  • Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team.
  • Define and leverage best practices for engineering and research to ensure optimal productivity and drive faster iterations.
  • Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
  • Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related industry experience in Machine Learning, development, and algorithm related solutions
  • 1+ year(s) of management experience leading a AI/ML engineering team, or 1+ year(s) of Staff level AI/ML engineering experience with management training
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or related practical technical experience
  • Hands on experience in data modeling, AI, and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning or AI Engineering management and people leadership, ideally leading teams of 5+ individuals.
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields
  • 7+ years of hands on experience in data modeling and machine learning
  • Experience driving impact with Generative AI products and Search and Recommendation systems

Compensation Disclosure:

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $200,000-$268,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
