A big part of this role is that we are reading / reviewing / editing the communications of other teams deploying products / services to ensure that the communication is in good order for client-facing associates. We often have to ask probing questions to ensure that message is clear and/or push back on behalf of the client-facing associate if the team thinks they are ready to communicate but in fact they are not. Many of the communications turns into mini projects and as you progress on the team, project management skills are also important. An understanding of the business impact of deployments is also important. Influencing to advocate for the client-facing associate is important. It is a unique role.
Skill Needed
- Create and support effective communications internally and externally
- Build, develop, and complete plans to deploy strategic, cross-enterprise product and service initiatives
- Evaluate project impacts to existing RM processes, service models, systems, and tools
- Identify and engage working team members, governance committees, subject matter experts, and other business resources
- Create engagement strategies for both Managing Directors and clients that may include pilot plans, rollout schedules, and rollout wave calendars
- Partner with business units across WI to influence and build customer focused, effective engagement strategies
- Consult on training & communications strategy for the RM organization, including plan sponsor, Advisor/Consultant and participant communications, associate communications, and associate training plans
- Consult on project business cases and requirements
- Perform WI Client Fit Analysis, identify potential variances within the target market segments, plan configuration, and service models
- Provide status updates to executive steering committees, project sponsors and other key partners
- Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree with proven experience in the retirement industry, financial services, defined contribution, and/or benefits administration industry or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of project management and/or management consulting experience a plus
- Effective written communications experience
- New Product/Service experience within Workplace Investing advantageous to the role
- Familiarity with WI Relationship Management and business partners a plus
- Skills and KnowledgeExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop, implement and lead project plans
- Solid understanding of Fidelity business processes and systems
- Ability to partner and establish relationships across multiple functional groups including Sales, Relationship Management, Legal/Compliance, Operations, Marketing, and Product
- Ability to navigate the organization to find information and acquire resources
- Adept at operating in a constantly evolving environment with hard deliverables
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and improving the team environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiating, and influencing skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to engage multiple levels of the organization
- Microsoft product suite proficiency
