Plant Manager

Foster Lawson are exclusively retained with a growing player in the Dairy space, who are looking to add a Plant Manager at their largest facility in Cleveland, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the dairy space, and a track record of leading large teams within a facility.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth functioning of all production lines and processes, addressing any operational issues promptly.
• Set production goals and timelines, monitor output levels, and adjust resources as necessary to meet targets.
• Lead, train, and develop plant employees, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage plant financials, tracking expenditures, optimizing resource allocation, and reducing operational costs without sacrificing quality.
• Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards through rigorous inspection processes and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee regular maintenance schedules, manage repairs, and ensure optimal performance of machinery to prevent costly breakdowns.
• Lead projects focused on improving production processes, employee performance, and overall plant efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
• Manage relationships with external partners to ensure timely delivery of materials, maintain inventory levels, and negotiate favorable terms.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in a fluid bottling operation, ideally dairy
• 7+ years of experience leading teams of 250+
• Union experience preferred
