2nd & 3rd Shift Tool & Die Maker's Needed

2ND & 3RD SHIFT TOOL & DIE MAKER'S NEEDED - ELKTON, MICHIGAN

A Leading Automotive Supplier in Elkton, Michigan needs 2nd and 3rd Shift Tool & Die Maker's. These are Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Positions offering Competitive Wages & Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Company contribution match, and 14 Paid Holidays including a bridge holiday in December. A Relocation Package or Sign On Bonus may be Available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds and speeds
• Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels.
• Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining
• Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.
• Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same
• Tear down, repairs and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Journeyman Card or 5 years of verifiable Tool & Die experience

Progressive Die and Transfer Die Experience is strongly preferred

• Problem solving skills, proven written & verbal communication skills
• Metal Stamping and Automotive Plant Manufacturing experience preferred
