Position Summary:

Take on a high-profile role as Director of Human Resources in a brand-new facility, driving all aspects of HR for a 300-person organization in a dynamic, family-oriented environment. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll focus on talent acquisition, development, employee relations, policy creation, DEI programs, and compliance. You’ll also build and refine HR processes to enhance employee experience across departments, with the exception of benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR Strategy
    Oversee HR functions, driving policies, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.

  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    Foster an inclusive work culture, manage employee concerns, and ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws.

  • Process Development
    Develop and standardize hiring, reviews, and policy processes across departments.

  • Data-Driven Insights
    Track HR metrics to identify improvement areas and advise leadership on HR-related matters.

  • Diversity Initiatives
    Advance DEI initiatives to cultivate an engaging and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience
    Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; PHR or SPHR preferred, with 10+ years of progressive HR leadership.

  • Expertise
    Knowledge of California employment laws, with strengths in employee relations, policy development, and technical HR functions (EEO, ADA, FMLA, worker’s compensation).

  • Skills
    Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability to build and manage HR processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Attributes
    High energy, excellent interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach to resolving daily issues while planning long-term improvements.
