Medical Claims Analyst

A nonprofit services organization in Florida is currently seeking a new Accountant to join their growing Finance team in Orlando.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Onsite
• Assignment Length: 6 month contract (possibility of extension and/or conversation to full-time)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly financial results comparing budget to actual
• Monitor Medicare/Medicaid billing for discrepancies; follow up on resolving issues; and, address any issues with participant enrollments as related to payment
• Prepare annual departmental budgets
• Review all detailed transactions, as required, to ensure the accuracy of month end and annual financial statement reporting
  Assist with other financial reports as necessary, such as tax filing, State reports, etc.
• Assist the Accounting & Claims Specialist with any claim questions and/or issues
  Handle monthly and quarterly reporting to primary lender(s) and financial institution
• Provide banking oversight and management to the other team members
• Complete ad-hoc and recurring analysis requests to support companywide analytic requests
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related Accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of 340B regulations and HRSA audit
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
