Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description (Summary):

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for breaking distributed micro-services.

Contract Type:

Temp Contractor / 9 Months (May be extended or converted to FTE after the initial contract)

Responsibilities:

QAEs/SDETs regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.

During the development cycle, QAEs/SDETs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results. They also build and maintain automated test suites using existing automation frameworks or develop new ones as needed.

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of industry experience testing software, including website applications
• Experience with testing distributed microservices, ensuring scalability and reliability across multiple services.
• Proficiency in testing functional, data-driven, and responsive design features to guarantee seamless user experiences across devices.
• Knowledge of various testing techniques, including boundary testing, equivalence partitioning, and performance optimization strategies.
• Strong skills in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium is highly desired.
• Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with Responsive testing JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Deep understanding of QA processes, including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to write automated test scripts and develop test strategies for both front-end and back-end services, with a focus on optimizing test coverage and execution speed.
