Summary:
Rails is looking to hire a part-time Copywriter. This position will start off as part-time with the possibility of converting to full-time down the road. The ideal candidate is a creative team player and talented wordsmith who will be responsible for developing marketing and communications content that will set Rails apart.
The Copywriter reports to the Creative Director
Responsibilities:
- Understanding, developing, and evolving Rails’ brand voice across all channels to ensure consistency in messaging
- Interpreting creative direction from various teams and adapting points into practical copy concepts
- Creating error-free copy for marketing assets including, but not limited to: direct mail, product descriptions, web banners, email, SMS, and performance marketing
- Creating on-brand copy for seasonal collection launches, campaigns and special projects
- Supporting sales, PR, and social media deliverables as needed
- Additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience copywriting for an apparel and/or lifestyle brand, preferably in the contemporary space
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Ability to efficiently prioritize a demanding workload and multiple competing priorities to deliver effective, on-brand copy in a timely manner
- Knowledge of and demonstrated adaptability to varying audience behaviors and writing styles across different platforms
- Extremely strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to ensuring overall accuracy
- Ability to work both independently with minimal direction, and as a collaborator within teams
- Ability to maintain an onsite presence at our Los Angeles office 3 days out of the week
