Position Name: Cyber Security Analyst

Compensation: $62-113k/year

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and budget. This role is crucial for updating and maintaining our systems in compliance with the latest Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) policies. The position is based at ARSOC and requires immediate availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CJIS Compliance: Ensure our systems are updated and compliant with the latest CJIS policies, including the recent 90-page update.
  • System Configuration and Design: Configure and design cybersecurity systems specifically tailored to meet CJIS requirements.
  • General Cybersecurity Duties: Perform general cybersecurity tasks with a focus on CJIS compliance.
  • Leadership and Advising: Lead and advise teams to remediate any systems out of compliance. This includes assessing systems and providing guidance to ensure adherence to CJIS policies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay well-versed with CJIS policies and other regulatory frameworks such as NIST, understanding their specific requirements and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in cybersecurity system configuration and design, particularly in relation to CJIS.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of CJIS policies, especially the latest updates. Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and advisory skills, capable of leading teams and ensuring compliance.
  • Background: Military background is applicable but not mandatory.
  • Passion: Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and CJIS, with a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with new policies.
  • Team Player: Ability to contribute to the team, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Additional Information:

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Location: ARSOC.
  • Contract Duration: Initially approved for 6 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and budget considerations.
  • Immediate Start: Position is available ASAP.
