Process Development Paralegal

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team who will focus on process development and ensuring proper documentation of developed processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring consistency and uniformity in key immigration legal processes within the firm, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring consistent quality across all legal client services through the documentation of processes developed in conjunction with the Supervising Attorneys and Paralegal Lead.

This is a temporary part-time, contract remote position. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for efficiency and a desire to contribute to the quality and effectiveness of the firm.

Major areas of responsibility

  • Create and develop internal processes pertaining to key immigration matters, including US Federal District Court Litigation, Consular Processing, Family-Based Immigration, Humanitarian Immigration, Employment Immigration, Asylum, and Removal Defense.

  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to identify opportunities for improving legal processes.

  • Weekly reporting to the Senior Attorney and Paralegal Lead concerning the status of process development and assigned projects.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on new processes to ensure firmwide compliance with established procedures.

  • Work with training software (Playbook Builder) to document processes and enhance overall firm operations.

Skills and qualifications

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficiency in legal technology tools, case management, and training software.

Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate and explain immigration processes.

Research Skills: Exceptional aptitude for conducting detailed legal research, maintaining updated knowledge of immigration processes, and effectively documenting findings.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Task Execution: Strong ability to comprehend instructions and guidelines provided by supervising Attorney or Paralegal Lead and effectively execute delegated tasks within a timely manner.

Education

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law.
